The Snow Leopard's Warning

Fawnstar clamed up the rocky cliff in front of her, her son Blazefire, and the new warrior Applefrost trailing behind her. She tasted the air, the scent of a mouse was nearby.

"Mouse..." Applefrost cooed, the light brown tabby activateing into a hunting crouch. Blazefire padded next to Fawnstar, the ginger tabby's muscles rippleing beneath his pelt. He turned to look at Fawnstar.

"Do you smell that?" He asked, green eyes growing wide with alarm. "Smell what?" Applefrost asked, turning from her hunting crouch. Fawnstar tasted the air. "Snow leopard's!" She mewed. "Get back to camp!" The light brown bengal ordered her son and Applefrost.

"To late for that, Fawnspots." Fawnstar turned to see a large snow leopard streaking up to her. "Scar, leave our territory. Oh, and it's Fawnstar now. I'm the leader of RushClan." She hissed to the larger animal, her back arching, and her ears smaking against her head.

"Heed our warning, Fawnstar. If you and you're troop of cats don't leave the mountains that our ancestors pawsteps lay, then us snow leopards will kill each one of you. One at a time." Scar hissed, his long tail lashing as he climbed the rocky mountain side.

Fawnstar turned to see Applefrost pressing herself close to Blazefire, the light brown tabby's tail tucked between her legs. "One by one..." Fawnstar shivered. "Let's get back to camp." She ordered her patrol.
This is war! She thought as she padded towards the setting sun.
